Morgan Nields
Nields took Fischer Imaging public in 1991, stepped down as CEO in 2000 and was Chairman until leaving the company in 2003 to pursue the formation of Abla-Tx Inc.
He served for 10 years as a member of NEMA's Board of Governors. (National Electrical Manufacturers Association: www.nema.org). In addition, he has twice served as Chairman of the Board of the NEMA Diagnostic Imaging Systems and Therapy Systems Division (www.nema.org/prod/med/), a $5B division of the $100B trade association. He is currently a Director and Treasurer of AdMeTech, www.admetech.org, a non-profit organization that identifies, funds, and manages research and development projects conducted at leading academic institutions to expedite advancement of technologies that can improve the diagnosis and treatment of many life-threatening and widespread diseases.
A member of several private company boards, Nields was also a board member of Columbia Hospital Corporation, Diasonics Inc, Smith Laboratories, and Fischer Imaging.
Mr. Nields holds a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College
David E. Gustafson, PhD
He spent two years as Assistant Professor of Radiology in medical physics at the University of New Mexico before joining the medical imaging industry, where his work experience includes both large (Siemens, General Electric) and small (Fischer Imaging) company R & D management positions. He joined Mr. Nields as a founding member of Abla-Tx Inc. in 2005.
Dr. Gustafson has participated on ACR NEMA working groups and university advisory boards, and has numerous publications in physics, medical physics, and medical imaging journals, and two book chapters for imaging monographs.
Dr. Gustafson holds a B.A. in Physics from Hamline University and a Ph.D in Physics from the University of Virginia. He did postdoctoral research in nuclear physics at the Florida State University, and in Physiology and Biophysics at the Mayo Clinic.
Gary Dalmadge
His team is responsible for the implementation of all imaging and mapping algorithms, the development of intuitive user controls, and integration of all system software controlled components including interfaces to ablative devices to assure real-time monitoring and feedback of thermal therapy. His group is also responsible for local or network support of medical industry standards for image archival, transmission and retrieval.
Gary's educational experience was at Texas Christian University in math and physics and at the University of Colorado in computer science
Desikachari Nadadur, PhD
From 1993 to 1999 Dr. Nadadur was a Research Associate at the Intelligent Systems Laboratory at the University of Washington, and worked as a Software Engineer in the Advanced Technologies Group at Electronics for Imaging, Inc., Foster City, California.
Dr Nadadur received his Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington in 1993. In 2001 he received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Image Processing and Computer Vision from University of Washington, Seattle, under the supervision of Professor Robert M. Haralick. His dissertation was titled, ''Noise covariance estimation in low-level computer vision.''
Dr. Nadadur has co-authored several publications in the field of image processing, mathematical morphology and computer vision and has filed several patents. His current research interests include: image guided surgery, application of deformable, finite element models, PDE and level set methods to medical image segmentation, Bayesian and other statistical methods in image analysis, and performance characterization of computer vision algorithms.
